i am ALIVE!!!

Sorry that I haven't been on here in a long... long... long time. I have been busy with school and work and life. We moved by the way! The only thing that I like about the old place more than the new one is that the old was was newer.... if that makes sense. Our new old place is two bed one bath. The downstairs of a duplex. It has a HUGE yard and a garden spot (now i just need to get stuff planted). Its two blocks from campus vs. the mile and a half at the old place, and the best part is that its $150 cheaper than the other place... much better.

Here is the garage... nice color huh

this is skinny pink bathroom

here is the nice big living area
(there is a dinning area right where lance is taking the pic from)

Here is the skinny kitchen... it works.

We live in the bottom so our door is behind the bushes on the left side.

The lower part of the back yard

The rest of the backyard... behind that fence is still our yard. Its kinda split into 3 parts... weird.

we love it!

Attitude

So as many of you know my cousin Amanda can be a little dramatic in her descriptions. (You must forgive her, she is an English major.) She met someone that was in one of my classes and was trying to give a description to this chick so she would know to say "hey, we have a mutual friend." Well, she said, "Em is the girl that as soon as she walks in the room, you can just taste the attitude. She sits down and doesn't look at anyone. She is the girl that is so cool, you better not talk to her unless you know she thinks your cool." Like I said a little dramatic. Then the chick from my class said, "Wait, did she just dye her hair red?" Wow, I never knew I was that cool.

Emberassing Story

Ok, ok, the story may or may not have to do with urinating outdoors in a semi public place, falling off a cliff, gashing my leg, and then being tough enough play and win a flag football game while bleeding and maybe smelling like pee a little. Like I said. May or may not.

Portraits

One of the assignments for my Photo 1 class was to take a portrait of someone that is interesting and shows their character. Somehow I conned Lance into posing for me. He was so cooperative and froze his tooshie off in the snow.

Here are some recent photos of me. This is at a local ski resort we go to often.

Lance took this picture on our front porch.

This was for an assignment in on of my friends photo class. I had to write and emberassing story and then she took a portrait to go along with the story. No I will not be telling
the embarassing story.

Tis the season FOR SNOWBOARDING!!!

My sister Josie and brother-in-law came to visit Lance and I all the way from Africa. So we took them snowboarding. (what else would we do?)

They were so excited to begin the day.

Josie was a little nervous but she did really good.

With a little help.

We took a break and had some lunch. Don't worry thats the just the appetizer.
Chili cheese fries. Yum!

Roy did really well too. He looked nervous at first...

But caught on pretty well.

I was really proud of Lance. He did so good today. If you remember the last snowboard blog I did about laughing my butt off at him. He went from not being able to stand up..

...to actually being able to carve!

So he's still not perfect but he is really catching on.

I had a good time too.

I'm ready for my close up Mr. Director.

Christmas Is Coming The Goose Is Getting Fat!

We got Christmas stuff this year!! I love Christmas, Lance is ok with it. We got a Christmas tree this year. I'm so happy.

Isn't it beautiful. I love it.

Thanksgiving is a special time. Jimmy Walker used to say dynomite, Thats right!

We had a real good Thanksgiving up here in the burg.

The Little Red Hen played and intricate part in the success of our wonderful feast.

Who will help her make the dinner?

We had a tasty cheese ball for  an appi-teaser.

I was excited to use all the fancy dishes we got for our wedding.
(...so I bought some nice green accent pieces. Good for Thanksgiving or Christmas.)

Who will help the Little Red Hen set the table?
(Do you like the headpieces The Little Red Hen brought for everyone)

What a spread!

Who will help the Little Red Hen eat the feast? ME!!!

(Ok so Kirsten and I did do alot of cooking and Lance and Amanda did alot of good cleaning I just didn't get any pictures)
